My WiFi Connect Module is Offline
Is your connection light flashing red, or does the device appear offline? Youl will need to be On-Site with the unit to reconnect.
This is probably the biggest assist we have when folks lose their connection on the wifi based connects.
The LED light next to the word CONNECTION on the WiFi Connect module needs to be flashing RED before you begin the provisioning process. If it is not flashing red, press and hold the button on the side next to the word WIFI for about five seconds. After five seconds, release the button. The light will most likely change colors a couple of times. It may even go out temporarily, but eventually it should return to a flashing RED light.Once the CONNECTION light is flashing RED, open up the FloLogic app. On the main screen, press the down button in the upper left corner. Then on the next screen, press the ‘+’ sign in the upper right corner. Click on the three dots (‘…’) at the bottom of the screen and then elect ‘Legacy Connect’ from the list at the bottom and then the ‘Open WiFi Settings’ button on the next page. You will be taken out of the app temporarily and your phone settings menu will appear. Under WiFi Settings, select the network that starts with FloLogic – XXXXXX. There will be a number/letter combination next to the word FloLogic. Click that network. You may get a message that says no internet connection or unsecure network, but connect to it anyway. Once, you have confirmation that you are connected to the FloLogic network, go back to the FloLogic app.Within a few seconds after going back to the app, a list of available networks should populate. You may see a spinning wheel at first, but just give it some time to populate the list of available networks. This is when you should see your WiFi network. Select that network and then it will prompt you to enter that WiFi network’s password. Enter that and then click the ‘Next’ or ‘Connect’ button down at the bottom. The app will then display a screen that says you are almost finished and that it should take 1-3 minutes. At this point, the main thing you want to pay attention to is the color of the light next to CONNECTION on the front of the Connect module. It should start changing colors. The light should first turn to a white or light blue color. It then will turn a real rich blue, almost like sapphire. Finally, it will turn green, which means the Connect is online and you should be able to use the app again to control the system.
IF IT SEEMS TO GET STUCK ON THAT WHITE/LIGHT BLUE LIGHT AND DOESN’T PROGRESS AFTER A MINUTE OR SO, UNPLUG THE CABLE ON THE RIGHT FROM THE CONNECT MODULE AND LEAVE UNPLUGGED FOR 1 MINUTE. THE LIGHTS ON THE CONNECT MODULE WILL GO OUT WHEN YOU DO THIS BUT JUST WAIT 1 MINUTE BEFORE YOU PLUG BACK IN. THEN ALLOW THE CONNECT TO BOOT BACK UP. THE CONNECTION LIGHT MAY ACTUALLY TURN RED BRIEFLY AGAIN BUT THEN IT SHOULD MOVE THRU THAT LIGHT PROGRESSION OUTLINED ABOVE.
Another key is to make sure the 2.4 network does not share the same ssid as the 5g. If so FloLogic will not know what one is the 2.4.
For assistance in enabling the 2.4 network please see this document. Splitting off a 2.4 Network in a 5G setup.
