Accommodating RO (Reverse Osmosis) System with FloLogic

Reverse Osmosis/RO filtration systems use 3-4 or more gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of filtered water. These systems regenerate filtered water slowly over a relative long period of time, meaning they may cause a long duration of uninterrupted flow, which sometimes requires settings adjustments to prevent nuisance shutoffs.

For under sink/point of use RO System,s the standard 30-minute Home time flow allowance may need to be increased to 45 or more minutes. The Delay Away feature may need to be turned on for 30 minutes to an hour (to delay the start of the Away mode if you use water just before leaving the property/activating Away mode).

For whole property RO Systems (which are less common) filtered water generation may cause significant regeneration flow duration. It is recommended that the FloLogic System be installed after/down stream of whole property RO Systems. RO System leaks can be monitored for by a FloLogic PinPoint sensor.
